RSD Weekly Recap: Brazil Resources Interview, News from Fission, Midas, & Almaden

July 25, 2016

This is Gerardo Del Real with the Resource Stock Digest Weekly recap. Gold closed down for the second week in a row, settling at $1323 an ounce. Silver was also down 2.4% for the week and closed at $19.61. Copper was down 1.2% and closed at $2.23/lb.

Dollar bears continue to be proven wrong as the dollar hit a 4-month high this week and was up a half percent.

Meanwhile Central Banks continue to bluff. The ECB talked about its willingness to provide further stimulus and rate cuts but again did nothing. Japan has done a lot of the same though I suspect before the year is out both will be forced into action.

Enjoy the lack of volatility, I don’t think it will last.

Meanwhile Resource Stock Digest featured companies continued to deliver news. We had the pleasure of speaking with the Chairman of Brazil Resources Amir Adnani about the people, projects and strategy behind Brazil Resources.

We also got to catch up with president, COO and Chief Geologist of Fission Uranium Ross McElroy. Ross shared the first results from this summers drilling program at PLS.

Midas Gold CEO Stephen Quinn stopped by to explain the importance of the new feasibility level metallurgical test work at the Stibnite gold project.

Last but not least, Almaden Minerals CEO Morgan Poliquin joined us to go over Almaden’s robust cash position, which now stands at approximately $13.8 million after long-term strategic shareholders took down an additional 4.3 million warrants that generated $6.9 million dollars.

Almaden is drilling once more and is moving towards a production decision. I continue to believe the drill program will force potential suitors to move sooner, rather than later on an offer.

See you next week.
