RSD Weekly Recap: Jobs Numbers, News from Millrock Resources, Brazil Resources, Nevada Sunrise & Lithium X

This is Gerardo Del Real with the post-labor day Resource Stock Digest weekly recap.

Data from the most recent jobs report, reported on Friday, September 2nd showed the economy added 151,000 new jobs.

The number was below consensus expectations and many interpreted the number as another reason why the Fed won’t raise rates in September. We’ll see.

The reaction in the metals markets was immediate. Gold was up in the $1,325 range and managed a small gain for the week while silver was up 3.3% for the week and is now back in the $19.50 range.

Millrock Resources (TSX-V: MRO)(OTC: MLRKF) CEO Greg Beischer stopped by to talk about Millrock’s new exploration operations facility.

Brazil Resources (TSX-V: BRI)(OTC: BRIZF) announced it completed its acquisition of the Titiribi Gold-Copper project from NovaCopper.

Nevada Sunrise (TSX-V: NEV)(OTC: NVSGF) announced its JV partner, Advantage Lithium (TSX-V: AAL-H) will commence drilling lithium brine targets at Clayton Northeast. Should be an interesting drill program since the drilling will be a stones throw from established production wells.

Also on the Lithium front, Lithium X (TSX-V: LIX)(OTC: LIXXF) announced an upgraded mineral resource estimate for its Sal de los angeles project in Argentina.

I hope to have both Nevada Sunrise and Lithium X on this week to go over the details.
