Gold Mountain Mining (TSX-V: GMTN)(OTCQB: GMTNF) CEO Kevin Smith on One of the Widest Recorded High-Grade Intercepts at Elk Property
Gerardo Del Real: This is Gerardo Del Real with Resource Stock Digest. Joining me today is the CEO of Gold Mountain Mining, Mr. Kevin Smith. Kevin, how are you? I understand you're in the field and were just in the pit.
Kevin Smith: Yeah, absolutely. I'm good. Thanks for asking. It's a little cold up here, but we got blast going on today. And we're getting our ore stockpile all dialed in, and ready to go to start shipping some more.
Gerardo Del Real: Well, if your latest news release is any indication, you were likely standing and blasting right around some high grade gold. You just hit one of the widest recorded high grade intercepts at the Elk Property. Let me read some of the numbers. 2.4 meters grading 20.2 grams per tonne gold, including 0.4 meters of 127 grams per tonne gold. There was also an intercept of 1.3 meters grading 6.87 grams per tonne gold, that included 0.3 meters of 28.6 grams per tonne gold. There were several other highlight numbers there that I could continue to reference, but let's be absolutely clear. This has got to make you feel a lot more confident as you March towards that million ounce resource that I know the company's been really public about wanting to get to.
Kevin Smith: Yeah, absolutely. I mean, these are the grades that the Elk's famous for. It's got that high grade sulfide throughout it, and we think this shows that there's a lot of gas left in the tank up here. And gives us a ton of confidence, not only on the million ounce, but pushing it even beyond that.
Gerardo Del Real: Now this was a 75 meter step out along the 2,600 vein, correct?
Kevin Smith: Correct.
Gerardo Del Real: Good. Walk me through the exploration upside here, moving forward, and what this last month of the year looks like for Gold Mountian Mining.
Kevin Smith: Yeah, so we were waiting on results from our satellite zones, which is The Lake, The South, and The Elusive. We've been pulling some really interesting core with a lot of VG in it, out of The Elusive Zone. So very excited about that new area that we're drilling. Phase two is now wrapped, we're into phase three right away. That's going to be another minimum of 10,000 meters. And we just keep marching forward. I mean, we're one of the lucky ones where we can drill year round on this project here in BC, and we're just going to keep the drills turning. We're having a lot of success, so why slow down, right?
Gerardo Del Real: Absolutely, are you going to be able to pull off that resource estimate before 2022?
Kevin Smith: Yeah. We're driving hard on it right now. Now that we have these last assays in from the Siwash North Zone, we can get the boys going on updating the geological model. And then putting out that new resource estimate, and hopefully passing that one million ounce target that we're going for here.
Gerardo Del Real: Sounds good Kevin, thank you for the update. I know you have a lot going on. I'll let you get back to it. Sounds like we'll be chatting relatively soon.
Kevin Smith: All right. Thanks so much, Gerardo. Really appreciate the time.
Gerardo Del Real: No, thank you. Bye now.
