GSP Resource Corp. (TSX-V: GSPR)(OTC: GSRCF) CEO Simon Dyakowski on Drilling & Assays Pending at Alwin and Mer
Gerardo Del Real: This is Gerardo Del Real with Resource Stock Digest. Joining me today is the CEO of GSP Resource Corp. (TSX-V: GSPR)(OTC: GSRCF), Mr. Simon Dyakowski. Simon, always good to have you on. It's mid-August. Gold is back above $4,400, flirting with that level again. Silver's at $65. Copper has hit record highs in the past several weeks, and here you are with a tiny market cap and assays pending. So thanks for coming on. I wanted to get an update on the phase one drill program and the assays that are being eagerly, eagerly anticipated.
Simon Dyakowski: Yeah. Hey, thanks for the opportunity, and indeed the market has turned for us, it looks like. Mid-summer, we had that seasonal low in gold and silver in June, and it was quite a negative period after the big run up that we experienced in January, but it looks like the market's found a footing again in August, which is great. A lot of the big equities are starting to move, sometimes ahead of the commodity price, so all very positive. And for us, we've been quite busy at both the Alwin and Mer projects earlier this summer and into August. We initially set out to drill between 12 and 1,500 meters across the two properties and ended up drilling about 20% more than our high end of the estimate of 1,500, finishing the program with 1,800 meters across four holes at each property. So really, I think, a good early season test for us.
We've already had an update out on the Alwin visuals from the core that we brought up, but just to reiterate, we have identified in the four holes that went into the Alwin that looks like we've hit the similar structures that returned a high grade gold discovery for us in late '24, so we're eagerly awaiting receipt of those assay results. Timing on that should be within the next few weeks. And then at the Mer, we drilled four holes and extended one to almost 300 meters, the last hole, because we were seeing some really interesting alteration in mineralization all the way down through the hole, and that was actually targeting some high grade copper and soil anomalies at the surface.
So all in all, we would objectively say that we beat our expectations of what we were going to see on both properties, I would say. Obviously, this all comes with the caveat that we don't have any assays from any of the holes yet so we're strictly speaking from visual observations, but I'm really excited, and I think we should have hopefully a supportive market and macro backdrop by the time these results are released to us by the laboratories.
Gerardo Del Real: Where's your market cap today, Simon? Because I am of the belief that companies that are sub 20 million with discoveries of merit and significance are going to get rerated to the upside pretty quickly here over the next several months. Where are you sitting right now?
Simon Dyakowski: Yeah, we're sitting at around six million, which is laughable as we're both chuckling here. And we were up to 10 plus million in January without really doing any work, so I think some results here could really propel us a long way if the markets remain constructive for the next few months.
Gerardo Del Real: Well, no, look, I think we got a heck of a backdrop. I think not only are they going to remain constructive, I'm crossing fingers that we have ourselves a heck of a close to 2026 and a phenomenal start to 2027. Obviously, a discovery or an additional mineralization and more discoveries would go a whole heck of a long way to getting you out of that $6 million valuation that you're currently commanding. Anything else to add to that, Simon?
Simon Dyakowski: No, I think we've covered it off. I would just highlight for anybody that's still listening here, we should have results over the next few weeks and I encourage you to follow along, and we will still have a good amount of runway to continue to drill through the fall once we have these results in hand. There's a second season for us in this part of BC, and we expect to be back in the field within the next couple of months, so that's also something to look forward to beyond just the drill results. So I thank you for your time today, Gerardo, and appreciate the opportunity.
Gerardo Del Real: Can't wait to have you back on. Hopefully, we're talking discovery, and hopefully, we're talking following up with more drilling here in the not too distant future. Thanks again, Simon.
Simon Dyakowski: Thank you, sir.
