Kincora Copper (TSX-V: KCC)(OTC: BZDLF) CEO Sam Spring on Drilling at the Historic Condobolin Mining Field
Gerardo Del Real: This is Gerardo Del Real with Resource Stock Digest. Joining me today is the CEO of Kincora Copper (TSX-V: KCC)(OTC: BZDLF), Mr. Sam Spring. Sam, it's great to have you on. How are you today?
Sam Spring: Very well, Gerardo. Thank you for linking up.
Gerardo Del Real: Well, listen, gold is kind of in a sideways pattern. I want to remind everybody that gold is still pushing $4,600 per ounce. If it never goes up another dollar, I think all of us in the space that can make meaningful discoveries are going to do really, really well. To that end, you just commenced drilling. Drills are turning. It's the first time in quite some time. Can you talk about the project? Can you talk about the target?
Sam Spring: Yeah. And you're right, Gerardo. It's a predominantly gold-focused project. This is Central West New South Wales, at our Condobolin project that sits in the southern end of the Cobar basin. There's been a lot of M&A within the Cobar region, and that's really driven by the high-grade gold with critical minerals associated with that. And this Condobolin project is really interesting. There was a good discovery made over a decade ago, which hasn't been followed up. And what we're doing is effectively testing down dip along the strike, and some further geochem and geophysical anomalies that are right near this discovery that just have sat there. And it's a historical mining field that we've consolidated on one of those sort of rare opportunities within the portfolio.
Gerardo Del Real: Well, listen, the portfolio is substantial. Can we speak to what the next several quarters look like? And look, I couldn't help but notice that you engaged geomorphic AI, which I am assuming ... And let me be clear, I'm biased. I am a shareholder. It's a private company, but I am assuming that engaging geomorphic is going to be incredibly helpful, not just for processing the data on the current projects, but potentially even generating new opportunities. Is that something that you're keen to do?
Sam Spring: It is, yeah. And I guess, first and foremost, what investors probably should keep an eye out for is drilling at Condobolin has touched on, we're still drilling with AngloGold Ashanti at our Nevertire South project. I was out in the field with them the week before last, and really liking what we were seeing, and very excited by that. And that's your big porphyry scale opportunity. So there's two rigs at two separate projects ongoing.
But as you sort of say, Gerado, we've engaged with geomorphic AI to help streamline the rest of the portfolio and what we're doing drilling at the current projects. We had them do a review of our Fairholme project. Fairholme's a porphyry project adjacent and along the strike from Cowal, which is 14 million ounces, Evolution Mining flagship project. And they did a great review. We've got an independent geologist doing a traditional review at the moment, and we compared and contrast, and there were some really interesting ideas that came out of that.
And we could understand, from starting to engage with geomorphic AI, just how that can be applicable for other projects, and also in a sort of real-time active environment with current drill programs. So that's, I think, the way that the industry's going. Complex data sets take time. Not many in the industry are very good at really synthesizing what's important within them. And that's where working with that team will really help us with the existing projects we've got. But as you also pick up, are there other opportunities that we can use this for as a screening tool, and expand the portfolio, and make this bigger business model even more significant?
Gerardo Del Real: Listen, you have an excellent share structure. You have some excellent projects. I think gold and copper in discoveries and good jurisdictions are going to become more and more valuable by the day. We're seeing jurisdictional risk increase, it seems like, all over the world. And so again, being in a tier one region, I have to believe is advantageous and something the team is excited about.
Sam Spring: Oh, it definitely is. And part of the key thesis of Kincora is more deals. We've done a number of very good transactions at the moment, but there's more in the works, and hopefully the sort of one that will come to fruition pretty soon as well. So it's a great time to be the copper gold explorer in a good jurisdiction and with drills turning.
Gerardo Del Real: Yeah. Listen, it sounds like you and I are going to be chatting often. Looking forward to having you back on. Thank you so much for your time today, Sam.
Sam Spring: Fantastic. Thank you, Gerardo.
Gerardo Del Real: All right, chat soon. Cheers.
