RSD Weekly Recap: Bizarro World Edition

This is Gerardo Del Real with the Resource Stock Digest weekly recap.

Good to be back at it and more importantly good to see CEOs back to work.

Let’s get on with 2019.

Gold settled higher, closing at $1,285/oz. and picking up $5.

Silver settled at $15.66/oz. for a weekly gain of 2%.

The Dollar settled slightly lower at 96.16 for a weekly loss of 21 cents.

Copper settled at $2.64/lb.— a 3% slide —  as trade tensions continue to weigh on prices

Platinum settled at $820/oz. for a weekly gain of 4%.

Palladium settled higher as well, settling at $1286/oz. for a weekly gain of 4%.

Zinc, also feeling the pressure from trade tensions, lost two cents and settled at $1.13/lb.

Oil settled at $48.20/barrel for a 7% gain last week.

Uranium settled slightly higher at $28.78/barrel.

I expect a lot of news flow over the next several weeks and months, which will give us plenty to talk about.

You can expect the first episode of our new podcast Bizarro World with myself and the world-famous Nick Hodge in the next week or so. We’re handing out some 2018 awards, looking forward to this year and I’ll be rambling about whatever pops up on twitter while we’re recording. Kidding … maybe.

Leave your feelings at the door.

That’s all for this week. This is Gerardo Del Real with the Resource Stock Digest weekly recap.
