RSD Weekly Recap: Blue Sky Uranium (TSX-V: BSK), Mickey Fulp, Jeff Phillips
This is Gerardo Del Real with the Resource Stock Digest weekly recap.
Rocket man insults and active twitter feeds were not enough to offset a hawkish Fed which telegraphed a December rate hike and a rolling off of the balance sheet.
Gold closed at $1,297 an ounce for a weekly loss of 1.7%.
Silver was down over 3% for the week, closing at $16.97 an ounce.
The dollar rebound I’ve expected may have started, with the dollar closing at 92.18 on Friday. It has broken over the 93 level today.
Platinum was down over 4% once again, closing at $930 an ounce.
Palladium held in there, closing relatively flat at $914 an ounce,
Copper pulled back a bit more in what I view as a healthy consolidation. Copper lost a couple of pennies for the week, closing at $2.91/lb.
Zinc gained approximately 3.5% last week, closing at $1.43/lb.
Oil gained $0.83 for the week, closing at $50.66/barrel.
Uranium closed at $20.13/lb. last week, losing $0.37.
Conference season is here and kicked off with the Beaver Creek Precious Metals Summit.
I had the opportunity to sit down with the Mercenary Geologist Mickey Fulp to talk copper, zinc and a company we both have high hopes for, Hannan Metals.
I also had the chance to chat with contrarian legend Jeff Phillips. Jeff explained his approach over a nearly 3 decade career in the natural resource space and even shared three stock picks from the uranium space. I highly encourage everyone to take the time to listen to the interview.
Jeff is among the most influential and most respected voices in the resource space and has made himself and others a fortune for many, many years.
Blue Sky Uranium (TSX-V: BSK) CEO Niko Cacos joined me for a conversation about uranium and the first mover advantage that Blue Sky has in Argentina.
That’s all for this week. This is Gerardo Del Real with Resource Stock Digest.
