Blue Sky Uranium (TSX-V: BSK)(OTC: BKUCF) — currently trading around C$0.30 per share — is progressing with a 3,500 meter RC drill program at its 100%-owned Amarillo Grande uranium-vanadium project in Rio Negro Province, Argentina.
The program is being deployed with the aim of expanding and upgrading the Ivana deposit and is an immediate follow-up to a 4,500-meter program that’s wrapping up now with results due soon.
Blue Sky CEO, Nikolaos “Niko” Cacos — whom you’ll be hearing more from in a moment — commented via press release:
"Our goal to advance the Amarillo Grande Project into a multi-deposit uranium district requires a two-pronged approach to both identify new deposits through exploration along the 145-kilometer-long project trend and advance our cornerstone Ivana deposit. We believe that this additional drilling at Ivana has potential to expand and upgrade the current mineral resources."
The program will consist of approximately 260 shallow drill holes to test for potential extensions of mineralization west of the Ivana pit channel sampling program, which returned encouraging results up to 5,032 ppm U3O8 & 323 ppm vanadium over 1.7 meters.
The Amarillo Grande property boasts geologic similarities to uranium deposits in Kazakhstan, which are some of the largest and lowest costs on the planet.
The project already boasts just under 23 million pounds U3O8 and the current program will focus on identifying additional deposits at various targets across the 145-km-long trend including in and around the Ivana deposit area.
Our own Gerardo Del Real of Junior Resource Monthly sat down with Blue Sky CEO, Niko Cacos to discuss the uranium sector — which is going gangbusters of late as you’re no doubt aware — as well as the newly-expanded drill program at Amarillo Grande.

Gerardo has tons more to say about the uranium bull that’s now in play and how to position for even more near-term gains. He cautions that it’s a market that always eventually overshoots… so the idea is to get in fast and get out relatively fast as well… with a much fatter wallet to-boot!
He also has a brand new uranium recommendation out to his Junior Resource Monthly subscribers — click here to watch a brief video presentation on this undiscovered uranium junior with an impressive asset base on US soil.
