Drilling & Hitting High-Grade Gold-Silver in Arizona

Aztec Minerals (TSX-V: AZT)(OTC: AZZTF) — currently trading around C$0.37 per share — has released assays from the first five holes of its 2021 RC drill program at its flagship Tombstone Gold-Silver Project, Arizona, confirming and expanding near-surface mineralization along the north-central Contention pit.

Highlights from 3 of 5 holes include:

  • 5.7 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 40.5 g/t silver (or 6.28 g/t gold equivalent “AuEq”) over 32 meters

  • 1.19 g/t gold and 37.1 g/t silver (or 1.72 g/t AuEq) over 21.3 meters

  • 2.07 g/t gold and 26.1 g/t silver (or 2.44 g/t AuEq) over 21.4 meters
Importantly, all five holes intersected extensive gold-silver mineralization resulting in an extension of the mineralized zones at-depth and along strike below and west of the Contention open pit.

Aztec CEO, Simon Dyakowski — whom you’re about to hear more from — commented via press release:

"Our initial 2021 drill program results have exceeded our expectations, returning strong grades over broad widths and confirming and expanding the historic gold and silver mineralized zones. Holes 21-6 to 10 also intersected strong and broad mineralized zones, and continue to show strong geological similarities to both the initial drill holes and the historic drill holes.

The company is currently more than half-way through the planned 2,900 meter, 20-hole program at Tombstone, which means speculators can expect a steady stream of drill assay results over the next couple of months.

Additionally, at the company’s Cervantes gold-copper JV project in Sonora, Mexico, Aztec has mobilized a field crew to conduct a +500 soil sample program aimed at extending previous soil grids and covering targets with limited historic exploration.

So lots of news flow on the near-term horizon for Aztec Minerals as the company continues to advance both projects on the ground and by way of the drill.

Mike Fagan has mining in his blood. As a teenager he staked countless gold and silver properties in Nevada alongside his dad, Brian Fagan, who created the Prospect Generator model that’s still widely used today in the resource space. One of those staking projects was put into production by a major Canadian mining company — a truly rare and profitable experience. That background uniquely qualifies him as a mining stock speculator. One of the most well-known names in the business, Mike is now putting that experience to use for the benefit of Resource Stock Digest and Hard Asset Digest readers.
