Gladiator Metals Corp. (TSX-V: GLAD)(OTC: GDTRF) — currently trading around C$1.20 per share in a near-record copper market — has received a Class 3 Quartz Exploration Permit for its flagship Whitehorse Copper Project in Yukon, unlocking access to previously unreachable high-priority targets across the belt and enabling systematic, resource-focused drilling.

The permit marks a key operational inflection point allowing Gladiator to expand drill pad density, construct access routes to areas that were not previously accessible, and accelerate the transition from discovery drilling to delineation and resource definition.
With this authorization in place, GLAD is now positioned to move more rapidly across multiple high-grade copper skarn systems across the flagship project.
Gladiator Metals CEO Jason Bontempo commented on the importance of the Class 3 permit via press release:
“We’re absolutely thrilled to have received the Class 3 permit after a positive and constructive YESAB assessment process. This authorisation empowers us to access high priority targets in the Whitehorse Copper Belt not previously accessible under the Class 1 permit and access for systematic drilling to rapidly deliver high grade copper resources inventories. Our heartfelt thanks go to the Government of Yukon, Kwanlin Dün First Nation and Ta’an Kwäch’än Council for their support and engagement during this process.”
The Whitehorse Copper Project is an advanced-stage, district-scale system spanning approximately 35 km along the western margin of Whitehorse City.
The belt hosts more than 30 known copper occurrences and has a history of high-grade production supported by excellent infrastructure including road access, proximity to major highways, and connection to the Yukon power grid.
The newly-granted authorization follows a comprehensive assessment process and reflects strong engagement with local stakeholders and First Nations, reinforcing the project’s social license in a jurisdiction where permitting success is critical.
Jason Bontempo added:
“We also sincerely thank the entire Whitehorse Community for their overwhelming support during the YESAB public consultation process and trusting Gladiator Metals to reveal the significant copper resource potential that lies within their Whitehorse Copper Belt. The future is looking incredibly bright for Gladiator and the Whitehorse Copper Project which has the potential to be a multi-decade intergenerational project once again for the City of Whitehorse.”
Recent drilling continues to demonstrate the scale and continuity of mineralization at the Cowley prospect where near-surface intercepts have outlined a growing high-grade copper system with strong molybdenum, gold, and silver credits.

The system now extends over 1 km in strike length and remains open in all directions with additional expansion potential supported by both drilling and geophysical targeting. Cowley is expected to remain a primary near-term focus as Gladiator advances toward a maiden NI 43-101 compliant resource.
At the same time, GLAD has confirmed a significant new discovery at the nearby Cub East target where maiden drilling intersected high-grade copper-gold mineralization across a broad footprint.

The discovery further validates Gladiator’s geophysical targeting approach via the confirmation of multiple mineralized systems along the belt with additional anomalies pointing to other drill-ready targets.
With the Class 3 permit in hand, Gladiator is now preparing to execute an aggressive, fully funded 2026 exploration program, which will include ~40,000 meters of drilling.
Initial work will focus on advancing Cowley toward a maiden NI 43-101 compliant resource while concurrently expanding the Cub East discovery and testing new high-priority targets such as Great Southern where geophysical data suggests the potential for another large-scale system.

Importantly, the ability to access and systematically drill these targets is expected to significantly accelerate the pace of discovery and resource growth across the flagship as GLAD moves to define multiple high-grade copper centers within a compact and infrastructure-rich corridor.
At ~US$5.60 per pound copper — and a fully funded, multi-rig drill campaign set to commence in the coming weeks — Gladiator is entering a catalyst-rich phase of discovery within one of North America’s most underexplored high-grade copper belts.

For a deeper dive, our own Gerardo Del Real of Junior Resource Monthly caught up with Gladiator Metals CEO Jason Bontempo to break down what the Class 3 permit unlocks and how it sets the stage for aggressive multi-rig drilling at the flagship Whitehorse Copper Project. Please enjoy!
