Golden Cross Delivers More High-Grade Gold At Reedy Creek with Deeper Fosterville-Style Targets On-Tap

Golden Cross Resources Corp. (TSX-V: AUX)(OTC: ZCRMF) — currently trading around C$0.17 per share in a resurgent gold market — has reported high-grade gold results from its maiden drill program at the Aurora Prospect within the flagship, 100%-owned Reedy Creek Project in Victoria, Australia.

Reedy Creek Project map

Recent drilling at Aurora returned shallow high-grade intercepts, including 0.4 meters grading 27 grams per tonne gold (g/t Au), confirming high-grade, near-surface shoots within a broader mineralized system.

Additional drilling at the Welcome Reef and Empress Reef prospects intersected gold mineralization across multiple targets, supporting the company’s structural model and demonstrating continuity across a growing footprint.

Early results suggest mineralization extends beyond the core Reedy Creek corridor into parallel structures and previously untested zones, pointing to a potentially larger system.

Golden Cross Resources CEO Matthew Roma — whom you’ll hear from in our exclusive interview just ahead — commented on the latest Aurora results and the strengthening exploration model at Reedy Creek via press release:

“These results mark a significant step forward in unlocking the potential of our gold system. The confirmation of our structural model, coupled with the high-grade shallow intercepts at Aurora, gives us increasing confidence in both the scale and continuity of mineralisation across the project. Importantly, we are now seeing consistent geological signatures across multiple targets, which supports our view that this is a district-scale opportunity. As we integrate geophysics and advance drilling to test deeper, ‘Fosterville-style’ targets, we believe we are well positioned to deliver value through discovery.”

The latest work further validates AUX’s exploration approach with consistent geological signatures emerging across multiple prospects. At Aurora, drilling confirmed a well-developed shear-hosted system, while pathfinder elements and vein styles support the broader “Fosterville-style” model targeted at depth.

Reedy Creek sits within one of the world’s most productive gold belts, host to Fosterville and Costerfield, and lies just 10 km from Southern Cross Gold’s Sunday Creek discovery — a billion-dollar discovery that has drawn global attention to the region’s high-grade epizonal gold corridors.

AUX controls a dominant land position across this emerging district with gold mineralization now confirmed at Aurora, Welcome Reef, and Empress Reef.

Initial shallow drilling refined targeting and improved understanding of vein geometry, laying the groundwork for deeper drilling targeting the higher-grade core below historic workings.

Ongoing integration of geophysical tools — including induced polarization (IP), magnetics, and 3D LiDAR — is enhancing targeting precision and helping refine drill targets across the broader project area as AUX vectors toward the heart of the system.

With drilling set to resume later this month following completion of the geophysics program, the next phase will test deeper extensions beneath historic workings where stronger grades and increased thickness have the potential to be encountered in comparable Victorian gold systems.

With gold pushing toward $5K per ounce, the Golden Cross team continues to expand beyond Reedy Creek’s core corridor through work at Welcome Reef and other emerging targets, underscoring the potential for a district-scale gold system.

As promised, our own Gerardo Del Real of Junior Resource Monthly caught up with Golden Cross Resources CEO Matthew Roma to discuss the latest Aurora results and the next phase of drilling targeting higher-grade mineralization at depth. Please enjoy!
