Hannan Metals Ltd. (TSX-V: HAN)(OTC: HANNF) — currently trading around C$1.35 per share in a near record copper-gold market — has expanded the strike length of epithermal gold mineralization at its Previsto target within the flagship, 100%-owned Valiente copper-gold project in central-eastern Peru.
Recent mapping and channel sampling at Previsto have extended gold-bearing structures by 150 to 200 meters bringing the total strike to approximately 650 meters within a 4 X 4 km gold-in-soil anomaly.

The newly identified Southern Zone returned 8 panel samples averaging 0.3 grams per tonne gold (g/t Au) and 3 grams per tonne silver (g/t Ag) while a separate Western Zone located 80 meters west of the core mineralization, returned:
- 21.0 meters (m) @ 0.46 g/t Au, 5.2 g/t Ag (including 3.0 m @ 1.87 g/t Au, 8.85 g/t Ag)
- 21.0 m @ 0.26 g/t Au, 5.8 g/t Ag
- Individual veins grading up to 1.27 g/t Au, 17.6 g/t Ag
Previously reported results from the high-grade core area include:
- 135.2 m @ 1.3 g/t Au, 9 g/t Ag (including 3.0 m @ 12.7 g/t Au, 49 g/t Ag and 3.0 m @ 11.2 g/t Au, 53 g/t Ag)
- 11.3 m @ 3.7 g/t Au, 18 g/t Ag (including 1.7 m @ 23.4 g/t Au)
- 2.3 m @ 18.8 g/t Au, 66 g/t Ag
In addition to the high-grade epithermal system at Previsto, two other zones — a copper-enriched porphyry to the northwest and a gold-copper anomaly to the east — support the possible presence of a large, clustered porphyry-epithermal system.
Channel sampling in the porphyry zone returned highlights such as 192.0 m @ 0.17% Cu and 126.0 m @ 0.22% Cu.
Hannan Metals CEO Michael Hudson — whom you’re about to hear from directly in our exclusive interview coming right up — commented on the newly expanded alkalic-type epithermal gold mineralization at Previsto via press release:
“The expanded high-grade gold mineralization represents a significant milestone in our exploration of the Previsto project. Finding gold mineralization in bedrock over a 650 m strike builds substantial confidence in the scale of the system. We have identified multiple high-grade vein sets that demonstrate the exceptional potential of this area. What's particularly encouraging is the presence of these robust gold structures within broader halos of moderate-grade mineralization — a hallmark of globally significant alkalic epithermal systems.”
“Our field teams continue to expand the Previsto Central with each month of work, revealing new mineralized zones and extending known structures. We've scheduled more detailed sampling programs specifically designed to better define these high-grade structures within the broader envelope of gold mineralization. The combination of scale, grade, and geological setting at Previsto makes this one of the most exciting projects in Hannan's portfolio, and we look forward to advancing this promising target toward drill testing.”
Follow-up exploration continues across multiple zones as the HAN team evaluates the district-scale potential at Previsto as drill permitting progresses.
Concurrently, Hannan has commenced its maiden drill program at the Belen prospect’s Vista Alegre prospect (Valiente Project) located 23 km southwest of Previsto Central.
The multi-prospect program (Vista Alegre, Sortilegio, Ricardo Herrera,) includes up to 5,000 meters across 18 holes targeting three distinct mineralized zones.

At the Vista Alegre prospect, the first hole has been completed to 184.6 meters testing a 600-meter-long high chargeability-low resistivity zone within a 2.4 km anomaly. The target coincides with strong gold-in-soil values (up to 0.12 ppm Au) and mineralized boulders (up to 2.72 g/t Au, 44 g/t Ag).
Follow-up drilling will focus on the Sortilegio prospect where three alkalic porphyry Cu-Au targets lie along a 1.2 km chargeability trend, and the Ricardo Herrera prospect, where outcropping porphyry-style copper-gold mineralization is associated with a large 1,000 X 250 m chargeability anomaly.
Hannan Metals CEO Michael Hudson continued:
“And not to be forgotten, drilling at Belen is now underway with our inaugural 5,000 m program across 18 diamond drill holes targeting three priority areas. At Vista Alegre, our first hole HDDVA001 has been completed at 184.6 m, testing a 600 m by 500 m high chargeability zone that coincides with strong gold-in-soil anomalies and surface mineralization grading up to 2.7 g/t Au and 44 g/t Ag. This represents the start of systematic drill testing across our 2.4 km long geophysical anomaly. Drillhole HDDVA002 is now underway.”
“Following Vista Alegre, we'll advance to Sortilegio's 1.2 km long alkalic porphyry system and then Ricardo Herrera's substantial 1,000 m by 250 m chargeability anomaly with outcropping porphyry-style copper-gold mineralization. With first assay results expected in July 2025, we're simultaneously advancing multiple significant scale targets across the emerging Valiente 150 km mineral belt where we hold first mover advantage. The combination of active drilling at Belen and the expanding Previsto project positions Hannan at an inflection point in demonstrating the true potential of Valiente.”
Drilling at Belen is anticipated to run through Q4 2025 with initial assay results anticipated starting next month.
Together, the expanding mineralized footprint at Previsto and the newly launched drill program at Vista Alegre mark pivotal catalysts for Hannan Metals. With multiple targets in play, speculators can expect steady news flow as exploration and drilling momentum accelerates in the months ahead.
Now, as promised, our own Gerardo Del Real of Junior Resource Monthly caught up with Hannan Metals CEO Michael Hudson to discuss the newly expanded gold mineralization at Previsto and the start of drilling at Belen — all part of the flagship, 100%-owned Valiente copper-gold project. Please enjoy!
