Jeff Phillips on Geomorphic AI and 3 Mining Prospect Generators

Most junior explorers live or die by one project and one drill program.

Prospect generators are built differently.

They identify promising projects, bring in partners to fund the expensive exploration work, and retain an ownership interest or royalty.

More drilling.

More chances for discovery.

Less dilution for shareholders.

That’s why longtime contrarian resource investor Jeff Phillips has made prospect generators an important part of his portfolio.

In this new interview, Jeff highlights three in particular:

Latin Metals (TSX-V: LMS)(OTC: LMSQF)

Latin Metals is focused primarily on Argentina and already has multiple projects being advanced with partner capital.

Jeff is particularly interested in Cerro Bayo, which was optioned to Daura Gold. The initial drilling encountered mineralization in several holes, and Jeff believes the project has a legitimate chance of becoming a discovery as follow-up work continues.

Latin Metals retains exposure without having to fund the entire exploration program itself.

Headwater Gold (CSE: HWG)(OTC: HWAUF)

Jeff describes Headwater as one of the prospect generators executing the model “flawlessly.”

The company has three major mining partners advancing six projects across Nevada and Idaho. Multiple drill programs are underway or planned, giving shareholders several funded opportunities for discovery.

Its partners include Newmont and Centerra Gold, which have also invested in the company.

Kincora Copper (TSX-V: KCC)(OTC: BZDLF)

Kincora is targeting large copper-gold porphyry systems in two established Australian mineral belts.

Its partners are funding substantial exploration, while Kincora is also drilling a 100%-owned gold project and working to bring additional partners into its portfolio.

Jeff says the company hasn’t made a discovery yet—but the geological team continues to like what it sees and is narrowing in on its targets.

These remain high-risk exploration stocks.

But Jeff’s thesis is simple: If an investor owns Latin Metals, Headwater Gold and Kincora Copper, they gain exposure to numerous projects, partners and drill programs.

He believes there’s a reasonable chance that one or two of them ultimately makes a discovery.

What Else Jeff Is Watching?

Jeff also discusses several other companies and themes during the interview:

  • Revival Gold (TSX-V: RVG)(OTC: RVLGF): An advanced U.S. gold developer with two past-producing projects in Utah and Idaho. Jeff believes Revival is inexpensive relative to its assets and could eventually attract takeover interest if the market doesn’t assign it a higher valuation.
  • Empress Royalty (TSX-V: EMPR)(OTC: EMPYF): A gold-and-silver royalty and streaming company that has become cash-flow positive, doubled revenue and built the financial base needed to pursue larger transactions.
  • Geomorphic AI: A private, AI-driven prospect generator and mining-services company in which Jeff is a major shareholder. Its platform completed in three days a geological review that had taken a traditional consulting team three months — and uncovered historical information that had previously been overlooked.
  • Bravo Mining (TSX-V: BRVO)(OTC: BRVMF): A Brazilian nickel-PGM developer backed by knowledgeable institutions and a management team with substantial ownership.
  • Aldebaran Resources (OTC: ALDE)(OTC: ADBRF): The owner of a large copper project in Argentina, led by an experienced team that has previously built and sold a successful junior.
  • Daura Gold (TSX-V: DGC)(OTC: DGCOF) and Almadex Minerals (TSX-V: DEX)(OTC: AAMMF): Two smaller companies Jeff discusses in connection with Latin Metals, Empress Royalty and their respective project and royalty portfolios.

Jeff also shares his outlook for the broader resource market.

He views the summer pullback as healthy. Many quality companies now have more cash and more advanced projects than they did a year ago — but their shares are available at lower prices.

That is usually when a contrarian should be paying attention.
