Kutcho Copper Corp. (TSX-V: KC)(OTC: KCCFF), currently trading around C$1.00 per share, has released results of its Feasibility Study for the development of the flagship, 100%-owned Kutcho Copper-Zinc Project in northern British Columbia, Canada — resulting in a robust after-tax NPV of C$931 million and an IRR of 41%.
Highlight estimates from the FS include:
- Low-cost production at AISC of US$1.80/lb copper-equivalent
- Open pit and underground mine-life of 11 yrs
- Metals production of 533M lbs Copper, 841M lbs Zinc, 10.6M oz Silver, 129.7K oz gold
Also noteworthy is the vast green-energy metals endowment of the Kutcho deposit with these metals being vitally important to fostering a cleaner and greener energy future for our planet.
Kutcho Copper CEO, Vince Sorace — whom you’re about to hear from directly — commented via press release:
“The Feasibility Study represents a major milestone for Kutcho Copper as we continue to advance the high-grade Kutcho copper-zinc project towards a development decision. The significant redesign and engineering of the Project delivers a mine plan that is a predominantly open pit mining operation with the concurrent development of two underground mines. The mine plan has resulted in a technically robust and capital efficient Project with a minimised footprint. The results of the Feasibility Study highlight the attractive economics of the Kutcho project which are resilient at lower metal prices, very attractive at base case prices and exhibit significant leverage to rising prices as reflected in spot metal prices with a C$931 million after-tax NPV 7% and a 41% IRR. We believe that the results of the Feasibility Study mean that Kutcho Copper is now one of the most undervalued copper investment opportunities in North America.”
For speculators, the benefits of developing an asset of this type, and of this size, within the friendly confines of North America and with ESG initiatives at the forefront are clear.
In this interview, my colleague Gerardo Del Real of Junior Resource Monthly sat down with Kutcho Copper CEO Vince Sorace to go over the specifics of the Feasibility Study and next-steps for the advancement of the Kutcho Copper-Zinc Project. Enjoy!
