Monumental Minerals (TSX-V: MNRL)(OTC: MNMRF) — currently trading around C$0.45 per share — has announced the establishment of a four-member advisory board, plus the appointment of Dr. Jamil Sader to its board of directors.
Monumental Minerals is advancing the flagship Jemi Heavy Rare Earth Element (HREE) project in Coahuila State, Mexico, just a stone’s throw from the Texas border.
The proposed advisory board members include:
- Craig Taylor, strategic advisor, and current CEO of Defense Metals, which is advancing the Wicheeda Rare Earth Element (REE) project in British Columbia, Canada.
- Mark Saxon, FAusIMM, MAIG, senior technical advisor, who brings 30 years of experience in the resources industry representing junior and senior companies in Australia, Canada, and Europe.
- Cal Everett, BSc, technical advisor; a geologist with 20-plus years of surface and underground exploration experience with senior mining companies.
- Dan Harmening, technical advisor; a professional land surveyor and prospector with 25-plus years of experience in the minerals exploration and mining business.
Additionally, Monumental has added Dr. Jamil Sader — whom you’re about to hear from directly — to its board of directors to assist with the exploration and drill target definition at Jemi.
Dr. Sader brings 20-plus years of experience in the mineral resource industry and has held international senior technical and management positions at Anglo American, MMG Resources, and Bureau Veritas Minerals.
Monumental Minerals CEO, Todd Macdonald commented via press release:
“With the recent appointment of a very senior advisory board and today's announcement adding Dr. Sader to the board of directors, Monumental Minerals now has the technical expertise required for this type of project and we are pleased to have some top individuals in the space show such interest in this drill permitted Heavy Rare Earth project.”
Demand for rare earth minerals is set to expand at an estimated Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 10.8% — reaching more than US$19.8 billion by 2026.
That level of demand growth coupled with almost zero current North American production is a growing national security concern Monumental Minerals (TSX-V: MNRL) could potentially help solve with the advancement of the strategically located Jemi project.
Our own Gerardo Del Real of Junior Resource Monthly sat down with newly-appointed MNRL director, Dr. Jamil Sader, to get his initial review of the Jemi HREE project and the exciting opportunity at-hand. Enjoy!
