Strathmore Plus Uranium Corp. (TSX-V: SUU)(OTC: SUUFF) — currently trading around C$0.30 per share in the 2024 uranium bull market — has successfully tripled the length of mineralized trend at its flagship, 100%-owned Agate uranium project located in Wyoming’s Shirley Basin Uranium District.
A recently completed Phase-1, 100-hole program extended the near-surface mineralization to 3,700 feet in length; SUU is now in the planning stages for a Phase-2 follow-up drill program slated for autumn 2024.
Strathmore Plus Uranium CEO Dev Randhawa commented on the positive drill results at Agate via press release:
“…We are excited to see the higher-grade intercepts as we move further SW at Agate. The drill results are validating our prediction of the Wyoming roll front model as applied to our Agate property. With continued exploration by our field team and geophysical modeling by the University of Wyoming personnel, I expect Strathmore to further define the east side of the mineralized tongue at Agate and move towards a draft ISR resource assessment.”
The company is further reporting on a new uranium discovery in the Middle sand (showing increasing grades and above average thickness) via a step-out drill hole located approximately one mile south of the expanding northern trend within the Wind River Formation at Agate.

Importantly, the Middle sand was the most prolific uranium producer historically in Wyoming’s Shirley Basin; mineralization intersected to-date at Agate by SUU had been from the Lower sand.
Strathmore Plus Uranium P.Geo. and director John DeJoia commented on the importance of the Middle sand discovery at Agate via press release:
“We are excited to hit a mile away. The initial results of the one mile step out to the south has opened a whole new aspect to the agate project. With the discovery of mineralization exhibiting good ISR GT's (grade thickness), in the middle sand of the Wind River Formation, we now have the potential for a much larger area of mineralization development in an additional sand unit of the Wind River. This is much like the main roll system that was successfully mined to the east. The results of exploration at the Agate Project are responding as our geologic model predicted. We are very excited by this latest step out discovery.”
The Middle sand discovery increases the potential for SUU to delineate stacked roll fronts across portions of the Agage property, which should greatly increase the resource potential of the flagship project.
Based on positive results achieved to-date, the Strathmore Plus team has subsequently expanded the size of the Agate project with the staking of 18 new mining claims, bringing the project total to 85 claims spanning 1,756 acres.
The new claims cover ground where mineralization is anticipated by SUU to be on trend with recent and historical drilling; the company plans to amend its currently held drill permit to include the newly-staked claims for potential drill-testing in the upcoming exploration round.
With multiple targets spread across three high-potential Wyoming-based uranium exploration properties (Agate, Night Owl, and Beaver Rim) and with Phase-2 drilling on tap for later in the year at Agate, Strathmore Plus Uranium should have plenty of news flow ahead with which to potentially move the needle as the current uranium bull market marches on.
