Tiger Gold Targets Major Resource Growth as Drills Turn at Quinchía in Colombia

Tiger Gold Corp. (TSX-V: TIGR)(OTCQB: TGRGF) — currently trading around C$0.90 per share in a strong gold market — has reported a 192-meter step-out at its flagship Quinchía Gold Project in Colombia, returning 79 meters of 0.8 g/t gold, including 26 meters of 1.4 g/t gold at the Ceibal prospect.

Additional highlights from Ceibal include:

  • Hole 14: 86m at 0.5 g/t Au, including 10m at 1.5 g/t Au and 9.55m at 1.3 g/t Au
  • Hole 16: 34m at 0.5 g/t Au, including 6m at 2.1 g/t Au

Those latest results extend mineralization to the northwest at Ceibal where one rig is turning toward a maiden resource estimate (MRE) targeted for Q1 2027; two additional rigs are turning at the Tesorito prospect.

Tiger Gold CEO Robert Vallis — whom you’ll hear from next in our exclusive interview — commented on the latest results:

“I am excited about what CEDDH-014 has shown us at Ceibal. It extended gold mineralization further to the northwest, and these holes are doing exactly what large step-out drilling should be doing at this stage — showing us where the higher-grade portions of the system sit, where its margins might be, and where it remains open. That is the information we need to focus the drilling that will support a maiden Mineral Resource estimate for Ceibal that we are targeting for the first quarter of 2027.”

Importantly, the Ceibal prospect is only one part of the broader Quinchía story.

Quinchía boasts 2.09 million ounces of gold resources across the Miraflores and Tesorito prospects, plus a 459,000-ounce historical gold resource at the Dos Quebradas prospect.

Through ongoing drilling at Tesorito and Ceibal, Tiger is targeting a potential doubling of its current resource base to more than 4 million gold ounces.

The 100%-owned project also comes with compelling economics: A 2025 PEA outlines a US$534 million NPV at US$2,650/oz gold — well below today’s gold price of ~US$4,450/oz.

Economic overview

Located in Colombia’s prolific Mid-Cauca gold belt, Quinchía benefits from established mining infrastructure and sits among major gold deposits and operations including Marmato, La Colosa, Buriticá, and Gramalote.

Backing that opportunity is a management team that knows what it takes to discover, build, and operate major gold projects. President & CEO Robert Vallis and COO Rickardo Welyhorsky bring multiple decades of experience with major gold producers including Barrick and Yamana.

Just as importantly, in-country experience is absolutely critical in Colombia.

To that end, Tiger Gold Exploration Manager Cesar Garcia has nearly two decades of Colombian exploration experience, while Luis Felipe Castañeda, Country Manager for Tiger Gold, brings another 15 years of expertise spanning environmental engineering, ESG, and permitting in the mineral-rich South American nation.

With gold north of US$4,400/oz, a multimillion-ounce gold resource in hand, and an aggressive multi-rig drill program targeting significant resource growth, Tiger Gold is well positioned to rapidly scale Quinchía via the drill bit.

Undervalued Against Public Peers chart

Hot on the story as always, our own Gerardo Del Real of Junior Resource Monthly caught up with Tiger Gold CEO Robert Vallis for an in-depth discussion on why he believes Quinchía is only beginning to reveal its true scale — and why Colombia may be one of the sector’s most overlooked mining jurisdictions.
